I grew up in Kazakhstan, where I pursued my high school education and played basketball for the Varsity team at Sports gymnasium for gifted athletes. At the age of 16 I joined the National Women's Basketball team being the youngest professional basketball player nationally.
I came to United States at the age of 18, when I was invited to play college basketball at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and was given an opportunity to pursue my bachelor's degree in Business Administration. My broad professional career consisted of various Product and Portfolio Management roles with the focus on Vendor Management, Marketing, Project Leadership, Program Management, as well as Financial and Market Analysis.
When I'm not at work, I really love to spend time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite things to do outside of work are hiking, exercising, riding a bike, and camping. Even though I enjoy an active lifestyle, there are days when i just want to lay on the couch and watch a good movie with my kids.
One of my favorite things to do is traveling. My favorite place to go is Amalfi Coast, Italy. I traveled to many countries and cities around the world while I played professional basketball. One of many countries I enjoyed visiting during my athletic career was Tokyo, Japan. I also like to spend vacation in Jamaica, Mexico, and Dominican Republic. As much as I enjoy experiencing new things during active vacations in Asia and Europe, sometimes I just want to lay on the beach in Miami, Florida.
